Abstract: (30 Views)
Background and Objectives: Since life satisfaction is among the most important indicators of mental health among married individuals, the present study aimed to investigate the roles of spiritual experiences and emotion regulation in predicting life satisfaction among married students.
Materials and Methods: The present study was a descriptive correlational study. The target population comprised all married students at universities in Tehran in 2024, and 286 participants were selected using available sampling methods. The research tools included the Spiritual Experiences Questionnaire, the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, and the Life Satisfaction Questionnaire. Finally, data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis in SPSS (version 25).
Results: The results of the study showed a correlation coefficient of 0.51 between emotion regulation and life satisfaction, and a correlation coefficient of 0.58 between spiritual experiences and life satisfaction, both significant at the (P<0.001) level. Additionally, emotion regulation and spiritual experiences together can predict 44 percent of the variance in life satisfaction (P<0.001).
Conclusion: The results showed that emotion regulation and spiritual experiences can predict the life satisfaction of married students. Therefore, it is suggested that mental health professionals in educational and psychological programs focus on this issue.
