Abstract:
Introduction:  Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly expanding as one of the most advanced modern technologies in various healthcare fields. Its predictive capabilities assist physicians in improving disease diagnosis, optimizing treatments, and enhancing healthcare service quality. However, the use of this innovative technology also presents ethical challenges that require comprehensive and meticulous examination. The Islamic ethical approach to AI can ensure better performance of intelligent systems while minimizing potential risks. This study aims to explore the ethical challenges of AI in healthcare and align them with Islamic teachings and Quranic sciences.
Method: This applied research adopts a literature review approach to identify and analyze the ethical challenges of AI in healthcare from the perspective of the Quran and Islamic teachings. Keywords such as "artificial intelligence," "healthcare," "ethical challenges," "Islamic teachings," and "Quranic sciences" were searched in Google, Google Scholar, and PubMed databases. Relevant articles and websites were reviewed in full. Ethical principles related to AI were extracted through qualitative content analysis, leading to the development of a conceptual framework.
Findings: The conceptual framework categorizes the ethical challenges of AI in healthcare and their alignment with Islamic teachings into six main areas: patient privacy and human dignity, human interactions and social relationships, fairness and medical justice, perfectionism and accountability, transparency, and education and empowerment, and Environmental Sustainability.
Conclusion: The integration of science and religion, as discussed in various interpretations, suggests that religious teachings can provide a robust ethical foundation for AI applications. Designers and programmers should adhere to Islamic ethical principles and develop systems that align with Islamic values.
