TY - JOUR JF - mazujrh JO - JRH VL - 8 IS - 2 PY - 2021 Y1 - 2021/2/01 TI - COVID‑19 Pandemic and preserving health based on Islamic Teachings TT - راهبردهای حفظ و ارتقای سلامت مبتنی بر آموزه‌های اسلامی در پاندمی کرونا N2 - The outbreak of the coronavirus caused the changes in lifestyle as well as psychological and spiritual challenges The study aims to identify strategies for promoting health based on Islamic culture during the outbreak of Covid-19. The method of content analysis was used in this study. In this qualitative content analysis, data were collected from the national and international databases, using the following words and phrases as the keywords: Coronavirus Pandemic and Islam, religion and COVID- 19, disease and Jurisprudence, Islamic traditions and disease. Considering the goal of the research, the texts and articles were selected and reviewed. The findings of the study indicated that Islamic teachings considers health promotion in during the outbreak of Covid-19 by presenting specific cognitions and beliefs such as attributing disease to the material world for Godchr('39')s transcendence, coronavirus disease and voluntary act, considering Allah’s remembrance, attending exaltation of believers. So, it orientated health promotion with emphasis on a few behaviors such as prioritizing the health guidelines in religious fatwas, underscore on empathy and beneficence and constant communication with Allah. Considering with the place of religion in Iran and other Islamic country, the findings of such investigations may help healthcare, to gain awareness the role of religion in promoting physical, mental, spiritual and social health in the corona virus pandemic.
