The improvement of quality of life is assumed as one of the basic topics in the contemporary psychology. Today, plenty of philosophers, sociologists and psychologists have functionalist perspective to the religion. It means that, instead of rational discussion on religion (realistic approach), they discuss on effects of results of the theoretical and practical binding to the religion in the mental and social needs. Doubtless, one of the most important duties of prophets particularly the prophet of Islam (p.b.u.h) is to improve the quality of life beside moral growth and excellence. The purpose of this paper is a comparative study on “Improvement of Quality of Life” from the Viewpoint of Islam and Positivist Psychologists.

The extant study has been applied based on comparative analytical-descriptive survey through collecting the data out of Holy Quran and verses as well as psychological books. According to the perspective of positivist therapists, the man by changing the sensation to past, perspective to the future and quality of experiencing the presence can move his emotions to a positive direction. As well as, in the viewpoint based on religious instructions, he may interpret his experiences truly according to the growth and personal perception principle and nature prosperity and recognition of his existence and God, and in accordance with the signification principle and framing, and finds a positive attitude by deep recognition and knowledge through internal and external integration and based on the internal wealth principle and attention to God and leads his emotions towards the improvement of quality of life.

This study indicated that some instructions of quality of life improvement are common in Islam and psychology, and Islam has presented more stable and precise course of actions.
